Golf VR6 0
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what are the pros and cons of getting cheaper alloys vs more expensive ones? I was set to get these Kato's:http://www.potn.co.uk/c1_7904_7908_p1020705.htm but after visiting an alloy shop today, the guy offered me a different set which i liked for much cheaper at £620 with Toyo Proxes, but these were the shops own brand alloys. I'm bit skeptical on the quality of 'em, he stated that he'll guarantee the wheels but not the lacquer which will come off on 'any' wheel regardless. What do you think, should i just go for the cheaper ones or for the more expensive alternatives?
tubby 0
When it comes to alloy wheels you only get what you pay for ,if you buy cheap alloys they will almost be as heavy as steel but spend a bit of cash and you will see better handling due to much lighter wheel weight.Spend the money as buying cheap alloys is false economy

VR6Rob 0
would that be wheel mania in birmingham?there own brand wheels are ment to be ok and dont look cheap at all.
Golf VR6 0
Its not Wheel Mania (not visited yet) but Chapel Street Alloys in West Bromwich, to be honest their own brand alloys (Rokit) looks good but the quality is another issue. I was only going for cheaper alternatives because i'm skint after buying my VR6 and getting it insured, but as POTN are offering interest free credit for 9 months, looks like i'll be purchasing the Kato's, £779 with Toyo Proxes delivered.
