ben_notts 0 Posted July 2, 2007 Report Share Posted July 2, 2007 right im at 79K and due a service.ive got a few extra treats to go on - springs and x-drilled disks - and im wondering whats due for swapping? i know a decent mechanic thats gonna do it for me but his equipment is pretty non specific to VW so i was just wondering if hell need any extra tools too. Phat VR6 3 Posted July 2, 2007 Report Share Posted July 2, 2007 I would change the rear bearings at the same time as you have to hammer the bearing races out of the dics/hub arangment (very very anoying) and even more so if you have to do it all again if the bearing fails.
