OEM+ 1
Hi i was at the gti show satyrday and see a couple of mk3 golfs with strut braces and aircon. Their was purple mk3 with tt alloys in the owners club stand with aircon and a strut brace. i have the same strut brace but when i went to fit it on, it hits the aircon pipe before its fully down on the shock tower, I was wondering how they got aronud this problem or do you just force the aircon pipe down when bolting it on.Can any one help

kalv 0
If its any use... my old man just push the air con pipe back a bit when fitting my strut brace...[lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1182165506_4477_FT179979_strut.jpg][/lightbox]
VR6Rich 3
The aircon pipes have a fair bit of movement and can be moved from the clips on the scuttle and pushed down or pulled forward to clear the strut brace, then cable tie the aircon pipe to the strut brace :-)

VR6Steve 0
As Rich above, mine has the pipe pulled forward a bit and the secured to the brace. It was already on the car when I bought it about 4 years ago and not problems at all.
