MrKeith 0 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes.Took my mk3 VR6 out for a drive this morning and it was going fine until after about 15 minutes I started getting a loud grinding noise. It's not doing it constantly and I noticed that if my foot is on the brake pedal when it happens then the pedal seems to jump. Any ideas what could be causing this? The car is running fine other than this and it doesn't seem to affect the handling but I don't really want to drive it aroud much until I have an idea of whats wrong with it.Can anyone help? MrKeith 0 Posted May 25, 2007 Author Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 The noise seemed to be coming from the front drivers side somewhere near the wheel. I've taken the car out for a drive this afternoon, threw it around a bit and did some hard braking and it doesn't seem to be doing it anymore so it may be a case of crisis averted for now. The discs are fine all round but the pads are a little low on the front so I'll get those replaced sharpish just in case. If it happens again I'll let you know though.
