VR6 On Rollers Diagnois Needed ?

Bear in mind the engine is 174 as standard, if it's a 2.8. Cat backs and filters aint gonna do that much! 6-1 and a cat by pass will add a bit more, but not a great deal.

Shrick or charger/turbo for serious results mate : )

The earlier OBD1 vr has around 175-180bhp standard. The later (mid'95 onwards) OBD2 vr has around 10bhp more - Stealth who rr huge numbers say on average an obd2 will have 185-190bhp.

Scotty what vr do you have - obd2 or 2 or what age/reg is your car? If yours is obd1 then the rr figures are normal. However even if your car is obd2 180bhp is not such a bad output at all. Every car (even brand new out of the factory) will always have different power from one car to the next. Factory quoted figures are just a guide or benchmark (which many people don't realise), and will always differ when on a rr. As long as it drives well and pulls hard with no flat spots that is what matters.
