goodboy1451 0
I have a momo corse steering wheel given to me by wifey for birthday present years ago. Can I fit this onto my VR, given that there is no airbag on it. Will this cause a problem with the system airbag checks or MOT for that matter ?? !dodge !dodge
acf8181 0
well, yes you can fit it...but you'll obviously be loosing the airbag.you'll need the correct steering wheel boss for your new wheel (they're universal wheels, then you add the specific boss for your car), you canals get a resistor which will trick the airbag ECU into thinkin there's an airbag there otherwise the light will be on all the time. even if the light is on, it won't fail the MOT (i know cause the girlies polo just went through with the light on)

dubloke 4
dont know where you got the polo tested andrew, but its suspect! my bro has just aquired mot test inspectorat where he works(not easy these days) and any warning light that is concerned with car safety is an instant test failure ie, air bag or abs/brakes etc! imagine if the tester passed the car under an "air bag light on" scenario, and after leaving the test centre, an airbag went off and caused injury or accident! the ecu/diagnostic survey will reveal the fault code to verify the existing fault and , goodnight vienna to any insurance! not big, definately not clever!
