bigtomo 0 Posted April 28, 2007 Report Share Posted April 28, 2007 right then folks ive got a vortech supercharged highline which is struggling to idle especially from cold,once warm it will just about tick over at about 600rpm,does anybody know how i can adjust the idle??thanks in advance... Pump the break pedal, does the engine stutter excessively?You cannot 'adjust' the idle like on an old carb run engine, its EFI, so its controlled by the ECU.But generally cars idle when cold but not when warm, so i'd check for the air leaks.also might not hurt to check out the various warm up gear such as thermostats...its been a while since i've thought about this stuff, maybe someone else can help?
