VR6_Turbo 0 Posted January 27, 2004 Report Share Posted January 27, 2004 do you want it to be remotely controlled or do u want to use a switch inside the car? clifford alarms offer a remote boot opening option on their alarms. but if you wanted it to be operated internally jus use a central locking mechanism and supply it with power via a button or a toggle switch on the dash. i was going to do the second option to my flushed boot MK3 but it got written off x) before i had the chance... hope this was of some help. good luck and let me know how it goes coz i want to do it to my soon to arrive MK3 VR6 !amazed .. acf8181 0 Posted January 28, 2004 Report Share Posted January 28, 2004 careful you don't knock it and open the boot whilst driving tho!actually, there is a way of wiring it so that it'll only work without the ignition on...a mate did this on his nova, he actually used the rear wiper switch/wiring as he had de-wipered it. i'll try and find out more if i speak to him.
