Guest HB55
I have bought a 96 VR6 Golf in the last month. I have discovered that it has an intermittent starting problem when warm. The engine will fire and then immediately die. It appears to be random in terms of when it occurs and, when happening, how long it takes to start. The local VW guy (non-authorised dealer) thinks that it is the ignition switch, however, if that were the case, why does it always start first time when cold? I use the car daily and it is driving me nuts! NB. I have already changed plugs & leads and the car never cuts out when going. Any ideas??
