Kelster 0
Okay,Turned the key in the Ignition the other day, car started then the revs just drop off and it cuts out. Then I noticed the Oil Can Indicator flashing at me. If I start the car and keep my foot on the accelerator it keeps running. As soon as I lift my foot up it dies.Any ideas, was taking it to the garage today but have got snowed in +o(
mk3anni 0
Course the oil light will come on if the engine dies.If the engines not running there's no oil pressure!!!!!!
Kelster 0
Understood. But should it flash when it stalls ?
mk3anni 0
Yes.If it sees a drop in oil pressure it flashes.Engine stalls so oil pressure drops, so light flashes. The engine dies, but the electrical systems are still monitoring.
