alfy 7
hi there please help my friend has just got a mrk4 golf 4-motion. When turning corners at fairley slow speed the back end slides out abit. The esp button is on. Does anybody have a simular problem or know how to fix it. (and no the handbrake isn't stuck on. The two back wheels have slight buckles in them could this be the problem?
vr6highline28 0
hello mate .... is this happening in the dry or wet ? ive got an r32 and have once or twice had a similar issue .... ive simply put it down to either oil/grease on the road or me being a bit too fast ... even with 4wd can't always beat the laws of physics (take it from me the worst thing i do is then drive the vr forgetting it doesnt have rear wheel drive too !!) alfy 7
hi thereIt is happening so far when the roads are damp he has only had car couple of weeks. It happened twice yesterday when turning round at a junction going very slow. Then once going round a corner on a country road at 45 mph it just slid out.
vr6highline28 0
hello again .... when i've misjudged a turn in the r32 the car corrects itself (ie almost for an instant drives itself as the power is given to the wheel most needing it) ... its actually a bit of a bizarre experience having the rear wheels correcting your direction !) ... i just got a feeling the 4-motion is being driven against the laws of physics ... i found out very quickly when i 1st got the 'r' that even though it's got rear traction on the wrong turn you cant beat newton's law's of motion !!! i guess he just needs to get used to driving it to be honest ..... if there was owt wrong with the car i guess fault codes would be showing ????
