jonnyedinburgh 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Report Share Posted January 31, 2007 When I release handbrake the passenger side rear calliper is locked on. The only way to release it was wd40 and a hammer! Once released I can drive about and use the brake pedal without the caliper locking. It appears the problem is the bolt which holds the handbrake cable mechanism onto the caliper, this seems to be really stiff. Do i need to replace the calliper or can i just replace the handbrake mechanism attachment on the calliper? anyone else had this fekin problem? i'm havin to leave the car in gear instead of using the 'kin handbrake.
