TCCJ 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Share Posted June 17, 2008 Hi ppl...I've been having pretty much the same fault... the car sounds like it's started then just dies... after i give it a few goes it'll work...it only started happening yesterday so i didn't give it much thought, then it happened again this morning...once i've got it going, it idles fine and i can turn it off and it starts up straight away but if i leave it like 10 mins it just happens again...Any ideas what it might be? or am i best just taking it to a VW garage? jimmyb 2 Posted January 23, 2011 Report Share Posted January 23, 2011 well mine when hot has started up and cut out instantly a few times now,although it only does it once or twice then starts fine,then this morning it decided to do it when cold :S (my car has a split breather at the moment"the plastic thing in between the rocker cover and inlet pipe"weather that would make any differance i dont know) hopefully when my replacement turns up and is fitted it wont do it again! otherwise i will be checking: key coding,ignition switch,throttle body,fuses,control box,ecu--not looking forward to it :(ohh and by the way mines probably something else as its a obd2 golf,lol) Link to post Share on other sites
