jarmitage1986 0
hey all, does anyone have any experience of the underdrive pulley sets (Neuspeed and Unorthodox Racing). I'm doing a Mk2 Vr6 conversion and i heard somewhere that by using these pulley sets you don't need to dent the chassis leg, any truth?? any benefits? can you use them on a relatively standard engine (Induction kit, 6 branch + de-cat). any comments welcomed.Cheers, James
FishWick 21
Not a fan of alloy pulleys personally. The stock ones serve a purpose, to absorb conrod harmonics (twisting vibration) mainly. American tuners by and large don't care about refinement and reliability, just the hp numbers, and therefore don't mention the downsides. The only way to make proper power from a VR6 is forced induction I'm afraid. jarmitage1986 0
ideally i'd like a vf supercharger or eip turbo kit etc but at the moment i can't afford it as i'm trying to fund my vr6 conversion. I suppose i'm very lucky anyway, as i turn 20 at midnight.
mk3anni 0
You cant run underdrive pullys with a charger anyway.I remember reading somewhere that they cause crank damage.
