lazy_arse_pieâ„¢ 0 Posted December 18, 2006 Report Share Posted December 18, 2006 rite my golf has been sat up in my garage for around 2-3 weekswent to get it out yesterday and there was oil all over the garage floor , checked dip stick and nothink showing , had a quick glance underneith but couldnt see anythink apart from dampness around the bulkhead side of the sump .topped it up with oil and the car ran fine as usual , but then i just left it be , so when i go back round again tommorow i would of though it will be empty on oil againanyone any ideas on what it could be pleasejeff Link to post Share on other sites

If it's losing that amount of oil, it will be visible if you clean the excess, and then top it up, stick your ed in an have a butchers. Good luck. Link to post Share on other sites
lee060 3 Posted December 18, 2006 Report Share Posted December 18, 2006 seems a bit wierd for it to lose oil whilst its stood and not running :S . as for the visable leak , could be a multitude of things .find the 'source' of the leak hard to say ftry gettin a light and get a close look working from the top down and report back with a more exact location . unless anyone knows any common problems causing oil leaks ?? if there are any common leaks id love to learn them , useful knowledge good luck looking Liam Link to post Share on other sites
