Headunit Fitment

Hi, I just fitted my Sony DVD headunit from my 1.4 golf into VR. Doesnt seem to work properly as it used to in the previous golf.

In the 1.4 golf I had an extra live cable coming from god knows where to my headunit so that when I turn my car off the stereo goes off as well. But would keep memory settings and etc. Im not able to play it unless i turn the key.

Now with the VR I dont have that cable so the stereo can be played whenever. I dont like that cos I always have to press OFF button. lol

Any ideas anyone?

Look at the back of the stereo and there should be a red wire and a yellow comin from your stereo!!

One is your ignition live and the other is your permanent Live.

All you need to do is swap them over so that when you take your key out the stereo goes off
