danb 0 Posted November 6, 2006 Report Share Posted November 6, 2006 It started about 2 weeks ago when id been out in the car for a while and then i took the gf to tesco and when i was reversing into a space the car cut out and wouldn't fire up , it was turing over though . After a couple of minutes it fired up and ran fine . then last wednesday pulled up at some lights and it cut out again but started straight away . Anyway i give my car to a guy at work to sort a leak out from the thermostat housing and he said that he filled the car up with water and G12 and ran the car for a couple of minutes then turned it off and left it to cool then topped the water up and went to start car and now it wont start , it turns over but wont fire up , ive put a new fuel pump relay on but its not that . when you first turn the key to start it you only get one spark on the plugs and then nothing but he doesnt think that its plugs , leads or coilpack and thinks that its something and nothing . Just wondered if any of you guys could shed some light . Car is a P reg 1996 highline. Link to post Share on other sites
