HiPurVR6 0
All depends on the cars history. They do eat HT leads for a pass-time but as long as it has a desent history shouldn't need more than a normal service, just the extra 2 plugs!!I took mine to VW main stealer and cost me £300, they went over it really well. All the best with te new purchase!!
mk3anni 0
Do the plugs, make sure you use the plug lead took other wise you'll damage the leads.Use a genuine filterUse Synta Silver oilAll available from GSF.I dont konw how far you are from them but the phirm will give you a free half hour checkover if your a new customer. matth76 1
Agree with above... The Phirm (if you live in the south) are one of the best VR specialists in the country.. or if you live in the midlands or east Stealth Racing are also very good. Both these companies will help you out... far cheaper than a main dealer and much more experienced.
ihpj 0
To help give you an idea (and I'm the *real* paranoid sort) I had all the fluids (coolant & brake), sparks, all filters (air / pollen / fuel) and of course the oil & filter changed as well as some other minor work done on the car. Mine came with FVWSH but I wanted to be sure that stuff was done and done right. That way (like with timing belts) you don't take a chance and know that the stuff has been done. Most of it (plugs and filters) you cna do yourself. Fluids I'd take to a garage to be done (easy to dispose of etc.) and get them to check it over too. Then you'll know it's straight and sweet.Good luck with the car mate
