VR6BOY 2
Hey guys i am having a wee problem with my vr6 going to work one saturday morning cruising at 65 mph the car cut out after a few attempts it would ifre up and instantly cut out.I walked home and got the spare keys and a few tools and made my way back to the car and it started with the original key ????. Anyhow the car was perfect for a couple of days then it happened again late for work car wouldnt start GRRRRR. eventully made it home after borrowing another car and it started again hmmmm.now the car wont start at all have checked everything that i could previously i had changed the 3 sensors in the thermostat housing and the housing the 3 sesnors in the oil filter housing the inlet manifold pressure sensor full wiring loom (due to dodgy alarm wiring). i have changed the relays for the ecu and the fuel pump am getting spark when i turn the engine over for about ten seconds with a spare plug earted off the engine and with the feed for the fuel rail disconnected i am getting fuel. I had new keys coded in the maindealers previously emm anyone any ideas i have been told its prob the immobiliser or the coil reader for the keys but then it could be anything. I am told by vw they can book it in and put a price limit on it and they will do there best to find the problem within the time, wont start on either key
VR6BOY 2
I have been told by some "people in the know" that it is most likely the immobiliser as the car is firing then the immob is cutting the 12 volt feed to the injectors and hence no running does this sound right ?????To me it kinda sounds right but i am starting to loose faith
