Probably gonna answer my own question here but it's always nice for some comforting words.

had the wonderful low rev cough, cough spluttering for the past few days and thought I'd try and take off the isv and clean it out....but after some handy searching saw that the obd2 isv is electronic so you can't actually clean it manually. Biz. I then read that a good throttle body clean out does the trick but I aint got the time this week to take it all off and do the full job so i removed the air pipe and stuff and gave the outer face of the throttle body a good clean out with some carb cleaner and rags. Sooooo much thick black crap came off it was unreal and since that the low end splutters are way better, she's driveable now. Awesome.

BUT...I gave her some love and when I switched up to third doin about 60 she felt a bit choked up again, kinda the reverse of what I had earlier.

Is this because I've only cleaned up one side of the tb and will this be ok once I remove the whole unit and clean the entire thing out?

Sorry for the essay, just need to know.
