    Story behind the car:
After Owning a few mk3's previously, having ago in my mates Vento VR, and another friends Mk2 VR,
I fancied something faster than the MK3 GTi i had at the time.
So the hunt for a nice looking standard MK3 VR was on, already planned what i wanted to do to it before buying it.
So it had to be either a black or a white one.
I had already bought all the parts to make the air ride, before i bought the car.
I already had the wheels, adapters, and few other things waiting as well.
So a nice black VR was found in late November 2011.
Cars don't stay standard for long with me,
By March 2012, it had be totally transformed from a standard car to something i was happy to call my car!
It was all built on my drive way, spend many long days and night, getting it how i wanted it.
Only having done one simple analog air ride set on one of my previous car, there was a huge learning curve.
and many hours on my laptop, researching, and planning seemed to be the key.
This turned out to be a huge help with most of the build, not just the air ride.
After getting the air ride set up and running nicely, interior changed, new wheels fitted, arches rolled, and few other minor body mods.
It was time for a huge detailing seasons. I already had a buffer, and loads of new stuff for detailing i bought,
So about 20 hours in totally was spent detailing the paint.
Finally.. it was ready!..... well i thought it was??
it stayed like this for most of the summer, with only minor things and tweaking being carried out.
attending lots of meets, shows, and many drives!

After the summer the cold weather was back,
So I deiced I was going to make a car port over my drive to save the VR from getting soaking wet through winter.
After a weekend of work, the VR had it's new home. A roof over it's head, and sides to stop the wind.

But then every time I open the bonnet, the engine bay let the rest of the car down.
It was time to get to work again, as I had no excuse as I could work inside the car port.
Again hours of researching, taking to people, reading were the key, I then knew what i wanted to do,
and had ideas how to do most things. The engine bay was ripped apart, I polished all the metal my self.
From fabricating to polishing, to reconditioning and painting, everything was done on my drive, by my self.
After painting the engine bay the bonnet also got some new paint, as did the front wings, and bumper.
The whole time other minor things were still being done to the rest of the car as well,
Red anniversary seat belts, Highline center console, and lots more little things.
All put back together once again. and time to get to some more shows, and driving over the welsh mountains!
Still more is being done to the car all the time.
Check out my build of all the up to date progress.
