  1. Ok so an update on this. I finally found my cable and plugged it in to vag com and got an error that the immobiliser has blocked the start of the car. I disconnected the battery and shorted it out then connected it back and and hey presto it started, only thing is that when i turn it off then on again im back to square one. Any ideas why this would have happened since fitting the new battery?
  2. Is this the alignment you are referring to via VAG COM?
  3. Car was running fine last week when I put a new battery in it, went to start today and car starts then immediately cuts out and the oil light flashes, I've over ridden the immobiliser with the fob and tried a different key but doesn't change anything, any ideas where to start? First thing i thought of was water ingress into the ecu after all this bad weather, hope not. TIA
  4. Hi guys, First post here just joined today. When i was wiring in a stereo to my car i noticed there wasn't a switched live at all, both the red and yellow wires were constantly live even when the ignition was switched off, for the moment i just take the face off but if the car is left for a couple of days this drains the battery. I also noticed that when i get out of the car and have left the lights on i do not get an audible warning like i should do. Would this suggest that the ignitions switch is up the spout? TIA
