Generally speaking to ship anything abroad as a one time customer direct with any major courier (i work for DHL) will see you having your pants pulled down, best bet would be to search around for a broker such as parcel2go or parcelmonkey, although ive never used these to ship abroad so not sure how this would work. Make sure you tell him that he will be responsible for any import taxes/duty that could be payable too!
