what about these companys that will put a recon in for !1400 seems silly to get a garage to do it for 900 if i can get a company to put a fresh lump in. yea could have added the wanting an engine but i didnt want the post to be moved to another section

Not really sure what to do. £1400 will get me a rebuild from a company but im not sure i fully trust them . £450 will get me a lower mileage engine which i can transplant and i fancy doing it myself will be my first take out and put in. Get rid of whole car and get another maybe 3 door with leather maybe lower mileage. what should i be paying for chains to be done as i think thats what is making the noise. what do you guys think is the best direction?

Hi all. Right some dozy doris decided see was going to park her mpv on my bumper today!!! The damage is really minor pusing the light suround in and popping out the fog light. However the managed to rip off my headlight washer jets. when i bought the car the guy said somebody stole one of them and he had a real problem replacing them.. im keen to get the part as they are ment to be one the car. any ideas of where i might be able to obtain one or a set? A saddened owner....

Hello all. well after driving the vr for nearly 3 weeks and doing nothing too it i have decided to service it. One thing i would love to get done it the noisy tappits or lifters sorted! they are not to loud but you can hear them when on the motorway doing a steady 80mph. now are these are hydraulic or can i adjust them? Also it has Hids fitted. when i turn them on to dipped they flash for a couple of seconds like a cop car then come on as normal.. Also when i turn dipped from main beam sometimes only one side comes on any ideas on that? How much should i pay for a head rebuild. should i go do

I bought the vr about a week ago and i have done nothing with it so far . just driven it and cleaned it. I got a whole heap of spares with the car including a 2.9 inlet manifold and throttle body. now im in two minds weatyher or not to fit it . can any body tell me if its a good mod or not? and what should i expect from fitting it? cheers Dave
