  2. Intercooler Pipe Route

    Hello people, need some help with regards to fitting a intercooler to my vr6, from what i know the supercharger is a z engineering...looks like the old style. what route would you guys take when piping for a intercooler as coming out of the charger and going past the throttle body through the intercooler and back past the charger seems a tad tight...any help or diagrams would be appreciated.

    I did what you guys said and put the maf between the air filter and the charger and it ran really rich, also was juddering on normal speeds and would barely start, changed it back around and runs perfect?! Is this because the car was mapped with the maf after the sc? Thanks

    Hey Guys, Got a question about intake pipes, been looking around and the only one i can find is the bonrath power rohr, alot of other cars seem to have one continuous pipe from throttle body to supercharger, what do you do with the maf sensor ? are these just home made pipes?

    seats look very nice mate what are they ? have you got a cover for the battery - would look neater with a mk4 cover or something similar over the top

    Thank You For The Comment, I Do Have A Battery Cover, Currently Being Powdercoated Black With Yellow VW Symbol :)

    The Seats Are From Raceland Mate, Very Cheap And The Quality Seems Good....

    Thank You For The Comments, The Badges Arent Quite As Bright A They Look In The Photo, But I Think Adds A Nice Touch To Make The Car Stand Out...

    Quick Update, Recieved My Seats And Harnesses A Couple Days Ago, Just Waiting On Subframes And Gliders Till I Can Fit Them...

    Just reading this thread, i currently have air con but was thinking about stripping it all out, so what ever parts you need could be up for sell.

    Hey Guys, I Have A Slight Problem With The Vr At The Moment, If Im In Third Gear And Change Down Into 2nd, Revs Sitting Aorund 2k, If I Then Put My Foot Down The Car With Judder/Hold Back For A Second Before Picking Up Around 2500k, This Is The Case For Most Gears.

    Any Help WIll Be Much Appreciated, Thanks

    Little Update - Gave Her A Little Clean And Took Some Pictures Of The Damage, Nothing Major But Just Annoying Really...

    Took Some Pictures Of How The Back Stands At The Moment, Waiting For Carpet To Arrive, The Holes Were Going To Be For The Harnesses But Might Be Having Them on Either The Strut Brace Or The Cage Now?? Ideas??

    Heya Guys, I Havent Really Done Any Posting Yet On The Forum, Just Been Browsing And Gaining Ideas And Knowledge From You Guys....

    At Last I Thought I Would Start My Own Build Thread...

    I Bought The Car About 6 Months Ago Completely Standard With 99k On The Clocks, 2 Owners And Full VW Service History, This Is My Second Mk3, Im Only 19 And Had A 1.4 Match Before, All Was Great Except The Power, Then I Dreamed Of Getting A VR6 And Low And Behold, One Came Along Two Weeks Later, There Were Only 2 Bad Points About It, The Back Arches Had Bubbled Rust on Them ( Which I Have Read Is Quite Common ) And Secondly Another Patch of Rust Which The Previous Owner Informed Me Was A Stone Chip On The Rear Quarter.

    Heres How It Started...

    Front Splitter

    Removed The Rear Wiper

    The Badges Were Looking A Bit Dated So Decided On A Colour Sheme And Got My Mate To Spray Them Up :)

    Also The Engine Cover Is Sprayed The Same Colour.

    This Is New How The Car Stands Except I Have The Rear Seats Out Ready To Board And Carpet it.

    I Have Front And Rear Strut Braces In The Post But Due To Christmas Post They Arent Here Yet, They Will Also Be Getting Sprayed.

    Bad News Some **** Decided To Not Check His Mirrors And Drive Into The Side Of Me Whilst I Was Overtaking Him, Hasnt Caused Too Much Damage But Still Takes The Piss....
