Hi all. Hope someone can shed some light.... I did some minor rebuild work on a 2.8 pre 1994 VR6 engine. Big ends, mains, valves etc. I got stuck at a point with the intermediate shaft ( the one that has the gears on that the timing chain runs on to drive the oil pump ) Firstly, I could not find any bearings for this shaft locally, so we tried to manufacture a bearing, with no success. Eventually we decided to assemble without the bearing, an bear the noise, just to get on with the job. Now I cannot get the engine fired.
