sounds a good place to start i have a load of carb cleaner from constantly having to clean the itb's on my pug!

thanx for the quick response where do i find the valve and is there a how to guide attall??

hi guys im new hear but have recently brought the car i allways wanted the golf vr6 thing is i brought it cheap due to an idle problem!! the problem is when i first start it it wont idle but if i drive it and cane it for 3-400yards it idles but badly then after a mile or so its perfect. any ideas what this is my guess was the idle control valve but not sure. didnt want to start changing parts out before asking the exsperts. its a early 1992 j plate oif that helps thanx in advance matt.
