    Thanks peeps, only reason I asked was that when I just looked at my vr and on the rear there is an extra bit of trim where the plastic cover fit.....? Any idea on what they cost? Cheers, Derek

    thanks mate see what you mean, hardly anything in it!!!! Am i likely to notice much change in handling with the narrower tyres?

    Gonna sound like a stupid question but what difference would the size change have on the ride, comfort and will it throw my speedo reading out??

    Spoke to DPM performance who sell H&R PCD adaptors to make these fit for a very resonable £150.

    If its not stamped on the wheel how would I know what the PCD is? If a was to put 20mm adaptors what do that do to the offset? Would the arches need to be rolled?

    Hi, I have a spare set of Audi A4 alloys in my garage from my old Avant (which I never got round to fitting!) They are 7.5Jx17, ET45 and i am pretty sure the PCD is 5x112, Firstly would they fit? Secondly any idea what sort of size spacers would i need?

    I live in worthing mate, brembo eh, any idea what they come in price wise? Makes me sound tight i know but want the best I can get for reasonable money!! Whats you opinion on braided hoses? I dont plan on going more than fast road only use it at weekend and the odd evenings as I have a van for work. When you say 288 over 280 does that mean i have to make any mods to make the bigger discs fit? Sorry for all the daft questions but I am not very technically minded

    Well when i brought it I asked for the synta silver (excuse spelling) which was recommended on here and was told that VW have reclassifed their oils and this was the same as what synta silver was, what oil would you suggest in its place? Did not know about pollen filter have added that to my list thank you. Only reason I looked at different leads as I felt the VW ones were very expensive, even magnecor leads are cheaper than VW, plus dubpower ones seemed to get a good review from a couple of people.

    I need to get my brakes done (front and rear) as they are rubbish and got nasty wheel wobble when braking from high speed, been looking about as VW quoted silly money for the parts (about £250!!) Have found pagid ones that are alot cheaper (about £130). Has anyone used pagid ? are they any good? Anyone got any other suggestions? I dont plan to up the power apart from the usual air filter and stainless exhaust in the future.

    The time has come to treat my vr to a service and get the braks done and I have started to collect the bits i need, having looked through previous threads and taken recommendations, but still open to suggestions for parts or anything you good people think I need todo or look out for.
