    its the pump and the pully wheel,the bearing in the a/con pump i have is whining loudly.

    found the problem it was the aircon pump, now 2 questions, 1. do i need the pump 2. is there a belt setup i can use that will allow me to run the engine without it ?

    sounds close to the head towards the middle, but it could be something bolted to the head for all i know, maybe best to go to a grage and ask them ??

    this noise is like a high pitch humm, most apparent when on idle . what does the chain sound like ?if its like the link on this website, my car doesnt sound like the chains. More of a bearing sound i think ,hmmmm what else could it be, only replaced auxilery belt tensioner and water pump

    anyone have any more ideas ? could it be chain guides ? its quite loud but not sure which side its coming from. And the noise goes and comes back all the time. But then can hardly hear it when traveling alon 20mph plus

    water pump changed and it still humms, so its not water pump or tensioner for auxilery belt. does this mean its the chain ?or the chain tensioner ? which part could it be , and anyone know how much it will cost ? a link to a part would be great !! thanks

    i have just replaced the belt tensioner pully and my engine still humms, always on idle, barely noticable when driving along. But it sometimes turns into a rattle noise. any ideas ? i herd it could be water pump ??

    gsf wont do them, is it only main dealership ? ps. how do i know if i have a 12v or 24v vr6?
