sprocket

This is the third time the timing chain has broken, in shop again. The original engine chain broke right after a 75000 mile check up. Couldn't afford vw prices went to authorized shop for a rebuilt. believe it or not the timing chain in that one broke within two months, had the original and rebuilt engine overhauled put original in and two weeks later it broke and is now in the shop for the third time. anyone else experience this? I think the sprocket is the commonality
