    I need some help if possible my mk3 golf vr6 has been perfectly fine until i stopped to get fuel on the way to rtts on friday obviously turned the car off got back in it to drive off went to start it got ignition lights but nothing else tried wacking starter but nothing it feels like the barrell isnt turning all the way but occasionally it will but still nothing just wondered what else i could be i was think starter or coil pack just wondered if any of u guys had had this issue before cheers rob

    problem solved it was the maf i unplugged it when it was running lumpy and it ran ok so went and bought a new one and problem solved thanks for the advice guys

    i havnt had chane to check yet will do it 2nyt my mate said it might be the air meter but i thought it might be spark plugs but when its doin it its overfueling aswell

    hey guys and gals im new to the site i have a dragon green mk3 golf on an n reg and it is all of a sudden barely driveable as it is running really lumpy and struggling to idle at all and puffing out black smoke if u give it a slight rev it sounds like its missing but then if i leave it for the night when i start it the next day its fine until i drive it for about 5 mins then it starts again also if i try and turn the car on it wont idle until i rev it it just cuts out im hoping its maf and nothing more serious just wanted your opinions cheers rob
