I have a 1993 golf vr6, thats been laid up for nearly a year i have been starting it once a month to keep it going, the battery has been getting weaker and weaker, even with charging, so i buy a new battery, but dont fit it for a few month because im busy. So i put it on charge with it installed in the car, the next day i try and start it with the charger still connected BUGGER theres a puff of smoke from the front of the engine and now there nothing the ignition lights come on but there no nothing. Feel free to mock i know it was stupid but now i need some help on whats happened any ideas? K
