    Can anybody tell me the part number for the clips that hold on the trim that runs across the door and rear quarter? I bought some off ebay and they were rubbish! Did'nt even fit so think i'd be better getting them from the dealers! Thanks in advanced!

    Thanks for the pics mate! Right, had abit of a problem today. Bought 5mm spacers for the fronts as the wheels dont clear the calipers. Tried them but they're too thin! So bought 10mm but my bolts are'nt long enough so got longer bolts on order! Gonna keep the 5mm spacers and put them on the rear for a better stance. Will get some pics up when i get them on.

    Ok thanks mate. seen some bbs anniversary wheels for sale, think they have 195/40/16 tyres. Also seen comps with 205/40/17 tyres (i know comps are common but they look the nuts!) would they not be a good size to run?

    Haha no its on offer. Two 5litres for £25. I might try it and see how it goes. My cars due a service so i'm doing that next month...so i could change it then. The vw dealership wanted £22 for 1 5litre bottle of synta silver and i have'nt got time to go gsf tomorrow to get it for £12!

    Just wondered if it would be ok to use. My car's been off road as the sump is cracked and its been drained. Im having a new sump fitted tomorrow and local shop has a good deal on castrol GTX. I know most people use synta silver but does anybody else use the castrol??

    I got quoted £160 supplied and fitted at local garage. Thats the sump, gasket and oil. I seen the thread about the 3.2 sump but i dont have the funds to do that mod at the minute!

    Where does the best price for a new oil sump? What else do i need to buy to replace it? Been trying to get a 2nd hand one but cant seem to find one anywhere! Cheers

    I hit a speed bump on saturday with a very loud crunch/bang and thought straight away "gonna need new sump!" but when i got home had a look under the car and could'nt see any obvious damage. Then noticed on sunday night big oil patch under the car. Ive jacked the car up and it looks like the plug has partly sheered off and its leaking from the plug hole. Will i need a new sump or just the plug. I cant see any cracks in the sump? Thanks.

    Finally got the new thermostat housing back together and fitted. So far so good, no leaks and coolant level not dropping! A big thanks to Ed and TheGoth for their help and advise (

    Just standard ones mate. They're in pretty bad condition though so would need a refurb.
