    thanks all! earth braid on starter was like powder and in half.soldered on anew one and tested across battery seems ok. not fitted yet as run out of light and having problems getting the top bolt back in. thanks again much appreciated

    i used my vr6 the other day as normal,when i returned 3.5 hours later it would not start?all the ignition lights light up but the engine will not turnover?there is not even a click from the starter.i have had the battery checked and charged so all is fine there. any sugestions appreciated ps prior to this ran sweet as a nut with no problems.also have managed to start it with a tow but e ngine dies unless you keep the revs up (no missfireing)when you turn it off everything is dead again?

    be careful,my regulator only lasted a few days before it decided to fall to pieces.i put this down to a very slight tight spot about halfway up.only advise i can offer is to calibrate the regulator as described by bigjobbo http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?256604.last but make sure everything is running smoothly first.also i have been told if you line up the clamps that tghten the glass to the reg with the 2 holes in the door (about three quarters of the way up) lower the glass onto trhe clamps at this point it should line up perfect.also have a look at this http://w

    Just fitted a new regulator and motor on OS door, all working fine but when i open the door with the clifford alarm, the drivers side window opens about a quarter. Is this normal as i have never had the windows working since ive owned the car. Could there be a reset button? Any help or advice greatly appreciated. Cheers!

    thanks for your help just been down the scrappy and bought motor and reg,fitted it went down struggled up (window out of align) annd shot the cables off the pulleys! any ideas how to refit as the cable now seems too short? has it overwound on the pulley whilst slack? cheers mark

    checked the wires all in perfect condition,thanks for the reply can i use a motor off an offside regulator ( just the metal part) as they are more freely available? cheers!

    can anyone help please! only just got my vr6 and the drivers side electric window has never worked. driving home tonight i pressed the button and the window went down pressed it again and it went up then it went down, half way up again and then completely down and stayed down, i have just removed the regulator and managed to wedge the window up with a lump of wood! i just removed the motor from the regulator and plugged it back in to the loom and it operates forward and backwards no problem. the regulator shows no sign of broken or fraid cables. can anyone suggest wether i need a motor or reg
