im looking inot mine this weekend will post results here well mine is an after market kit , installed about 8 years ago , spoke to the co hat fitted it and told them the symptoms , they ruled out wiring as its direct through chassis socket , no connectons , they suggest sticky motor or sticky mech , will know for sure soon.

drivers side works when it feels like it , other side is fine . its either got power which then works fine or no power , cant hear motor grinding etr. going to check the chassis plug for broken connections but have a feeing it might be the motor as when i give it a smack it works again or when i knock the glass it works ok then too. im ruling out the reg mech for now because if it was that then surely i would here the motor even if the window was jot moving ??? any suggestions ????

thanks fo thr replies , seems like ive done more damage to her by leaving her standing for almost a year , crank saft senser , coil pack and now a dodgy window . tlc on the way !!! can anyone recommend a decent garage in woodford essex area ???? thanks

driving my vr the other day and noticed my centre console was rather hot , never noticed it before , possible gearbox problem ?? any advice ?? thanks in advance

is this the same as the alternator pulley , asking as i'm trying to replace the aircon unit with another 120 amp alternator ....huge ice ! thanks in advance

hi everyone due to a power nungry sound system i want to upgrade my 120 amp alt to the 150 version that comes with a vw sharan , but will it fit my vr6 engine bay ?? thanks in advance

lol ... well i bought her in 1996 with 9 miles on the clock , 12 years later and 104000 miles on , its seen alot more installs than what i have posted up ..lol at that too its a show car really and very very painfull fult tilt on volume...if it hurts its LOUD !

thanks for the comments here people , but back to the main point.... now if there's anyone out there with a vr6 engine sitting in a work shop etr , could you pleaee plase see if the same alt as fitted will fit again on to the aircon bracket.. many thanks

yeah i know sahib's , fell out with them a few years back over alt rated and actual output figures..but the service was good though..i'll put some pics up for my system in a bit

well to keep it simple , i run approx 6000 wrms of amp power , have 5 large batteries as my current reservior , and the alts are my current pumps , the more the better....quite extreme i admit .
