    As some of you may know im building a VR turbo(along with most of the country it seems), currently collecting parts but theres bits and bobs which i need to get my head around, ive read the build threads and engine tuning section where ive picked up most of my info but theres a few questions i have and hopefully ill add that can help me and others out, so if you wanna add a question then go ahead. First up is if im fitting a spacer gasket will i need 1 or 2 genuine vw headgaskets to fit either side of the spacer or will this drop compression to much? Do you have to have an oil pressure retsric

    ok people quick one is this a good turbo spec to suit the vr6 lump 70mm inlet .5 A/R 60mm outlet 1.15 A/R i thought the outlet would be bigger than the inlet? this turbo business is drivin me nuts.lol. Thanks people

    ok good, ive got some numbers and figures to be looking at now, thanks. Im after mid range performance to be honest, its originally a track car but ive made it road legal so i want it to perform lower down and mid. im staying clear of the cheap chinese copies i think, id rather buy a second hand quality turbo rather than a new turbo which wont last, unless anyone can correct me and say that the copy turbos are of good quality? So do any of the turbos uve listed come standard on any cars? Or are they all pretty much aftermarket upgrades? Cheers

    how much was your t04b and where did you find it? Its knowing what to look for thats the problem?

    yeah ive been looking for compressor maps but to be honest not that clued up on how to get the info i need from them. What turbos have been tried and tested then i see youre running a gt35, i do searches all the time but by the time youve read a complete thread ure heads spinning.lol. Can you name any turbos i could be looking out for or even which cars i could be looking to pinch one off? thanks the help in advance people

    Ive been offered a TDO5H-16G, its made by mitsubishi and ran on scoobys, im told its capable of 350bhp. firstly could it work on the vr lump without choking it? Also if i ran it at 6-7psi what could i achieve performance wise? Thanks in advance

    ideally u should bleed the whole system, im in the same boat, id whacked it on a pressure bleeder and still had spongey brakes. as much as i dont want to admit it cos i know its a sh1t job but your probably looking at a brake master cylinder. The seals fail and thats where the sponginess comes in. Or you have a leak in the system allowing air in?
