Nainesh-VR6

Hi All, Im trying to find a way to derestrict the cars air flow as much as possible so i came accrss the MAF sensor and the honey combe grid on both sides of the MAF. my question is would it be ok to cut the grid out? or would this effect the MAF in any way? thanks Nainesh
