Hi can i put myself down to attend the GTI fest please,

Im doing that at the moment, ill keep and eye on it for the next few days and check the levels, if they are really low then ill take it my garage and see what they suggest.

HI Goth, I took my car to a VW garage for the fan belt tentioner when it went about 3 months ago so i assume they checked it then. Cant really say if over a period of time or all of a sudden. Am i ok to keep driving it or do you think there is a possiblity the head will blow? Thanks

The water tempurature light started flashing on my VR6 on Saturday. I managed to get it home without the engine overheating (i found it stranger that the temp gage seemed ok and didnt move much whilst driving). When i opened the bonnet i noticed that my expansion tank was very low and there was antifreeze that had gone like salt around the cap but i couldnt see any leaks. I checked my oil cap and this also had a mayo like substance around the cap. I have been told it may be due to me only driving the car on short runs. Ive refilled the expansion tank but want to make sure that my head gaskets
