    the symptoms you are describing do sound like that of a dodgey maf sensor. Ive had a few cars in for repair in the past that have the problem. It basically makes the car run weak. I know it works for the hyundais and some bmws but just try taking it off and giving it a bit of a clean out with some carb cleaner. A couple of times ive done this and its worked.
