    Well im thinking about losing the k&n cos its costing me on gas... but im wanting to know how to decone it when i put it back in?

    lol, Yeah its a cone shaped filter so i drill some holes in the air box what kind of sound would this give me? my k&n makes the car purr ..where as the stock one you cant hear ...so ill put the stock airbox back in drill some holes and see what sound i get? the exhaust has been desuitcased so ..maybe i might not hear it??

    how about do i de-cone my air box? rumored to produce 5+ extra hp and give off a good sound & Smooth running at higher RPM I have taken the old stock filter out and have a K&N pod in its place might that be the air box..? got this off the net (Budget tuning a VR6)

    thanx for that i removed the suitcase and it gave me the exact sound i was looking for! Thats what a VR6 should sound like its a head turner without the suitcase on....But yeah it is dam loud between 2 and 3500 rpm ...it also tends to make a popping noise ofen out the exhaust wich is also pretty awsome...it sounds so tuned with that big old suitcase muffler off...haha!

    what do you guys all have on your setups...is the suitcase removed thing common....does it give off a nice tone besides being loud??

    I see......well then perhaps i shall just leave the suitcase on and chop off the smaller muffler in front ...so ill then have a 2.5 pipe from the cat running into the suitcase back onto a 2.5 muffler...You gents rekon that will make a difference...im aiming for that deep roooop sound..ive heard so many that sound like that mine is quiet compared to others

    Right....but there is also a smaller longer tube/barrel shaped one what bout that? is it legal to remove the big suitcase?

    YO hey dudes i went to have a muffler put on today and it isnt that loud i honestly thought it would be much Louder....the whole exhaust system is still stock ..Its just the muffler on the back.. im also running a K&N pod filter wich seems to over power the exhaust...Do i need to replace the 2nd smaller muffler closest to the cat with a 2.5inch pipe? some help here gents laterz!

    Hey Why is it that certain mk3 vr6s have bigger stock exhaust systems than others? also how would i go about finding out what my VR would sound like with an exhaust on... heard some VRs tend to make a purrrrooop is this because of a K&n air filter and some just have a deep smooth vrooooop.....im looking for just the vrooop sound...i was told maybe run two 63mm pipes ?! or so bigger injectors ,polished ports and gas flowed heads?? do square muffler heads sound different to round muffler heads (tail pipe) Backfire-or at least heard a couple VRs make a pop sound when reved to about 3000-400

    thanks for that mate!besides that does it have the same sound if i had to put an exhaust on would the engine sound the same as a manual besides the shifting of course...
