  1. As soon as ignition is in the ON position the fuse in the fan control unit blows instantly. the fan only cuts in on stage 3 of the cooling cycle 110 degrees on the temp guage. All 3 sensor unots in the thermostat housing have been taken out and cleaned.

    Bought a new fan control unit as the original had melted inside. However new unit blows fuses constantly.

    HELP ME PLEASE!!!

  2. I need a radiator fan control unit for my R reg VR6 highline, part number 3A0919506.

    Looks like a large relay on the right hand side under the bonnet.

    Anybody got one?

    Searched hell and high water for this part but cant find one anywhere. Only at the VW dealer and they gonna charge me £110, way too much.

    Let us know if you have one for sale or know of anywhere that I could get one.

  3. My mate owns RS Fabrications in Banbury Oxfordshire, and he is custom building from wastegate to manifold, down pipe to inter-cooler. Just need to know what else i'll need to do and what other parts would be needed.

    Anybody who needs custom builds along these lines should deffinately consider RS Fabrications as these guys do know what they are on about.

    Any comments welcome and thanx for the replies.

  4. I want to put a turbo charger on my VR6, I have two options a Mitsubishi GTO 3000 twin turbo or a Garret T4 turbo

    Which would be best and would the car handle it. What would i need to put it in and set it up.

  5. Hi, bought a new vr6 engine to replace the one thats cam chain went and damaged the engine. Looking at the new one it has a twin cog for the double chain where as the old one only had a sigle cog, does this make much of a difference?

    Another thing was the clutch, it's a LUK clutch and i dont know how high performance that would be, looking to get a decent racing clutch but not spend a forture. Can anyone give me advise for the finishing up of this replacement.

  6. Wanted to replace the cam chain/ timing chain on my new engine before i put it in the car as i have bought it seperate. Would you advise i replace both chains or just the shorter/lower cam chain? And which tentioner or both should i replace?

    This is all due to the lower cam chain going on the previous engine and it would break my heart if it had to happen again!
