  1. This is my dads one, unfortunately for sale though as he wants a Mk5 R32
  2. This car has to be seen to be appreciated. The dash may not be everyones cup of tea but I think it's different! Which is why I like it.. Now then Ben, do you need a hand with your 132mm brake conversion LOL
  3. Some people consider red as quite chavvy but if it was chavvy then I'm sure it wouldn't be used on Brembo calipers? Either way, dark wheels + red calipers = win
  4. New wheels look sweet mate. I would have kept them red (if that's really the colour they used to be) a bit of contrast is always good! As for the calipers, I'd either do them red or black
  5. That's what I'm hoping to do bud. They're amazing cars and they sound lush!!
  6. You're not wrong lol. I really love this car and I'd be sad to see her go, but I guess in the long run, I'm better off selling as it'll just be wasted sitting on my drive for 2-3 years. Plus it'd give me some spare cash to spend on my other Mk3.
  7. Well progress is a bit slow at the moment due to the horrible weather Although there's not much I can do to the car anyway, cus I'm a bit skint at the moment. I'm now considering selling the car as I have no money to do anything with it...
  8. Best quote I've had is 3 grand Only been driving 6 and a half weeks though. When I'm 20 it goes down to 1200 which I can live with cus at the end of the day it is a rather high performance car!
  9. Been round the block in it once already (on trade plates) just to check it didn't overheat anymore, and I have to say it's only a little faster than my 1.4... LOL! I actually got scared when I put my foot down, I'm so used to my gutless Golf SE :-|
  10. Blimey, I go away for 5 mins and already got 4 replies, I love this forum! lol. Well I didn't really wanna tell anybody the price in case I need to sell it (I'd wanna make a profit) but I can't see me selling it any time soon so.. I paid 900 quid for it With 130k on the clock, I know it's high but it has service history to back it up! The reason I bought it is so that I can get it how I want it, and then insure it in a year and a half (when I'm 20) I think it was well worth the money though, everything still works as it should, including the air con and the heated seats! Thanks for the comme
  11. Alright guys! I never used to post much on here (just browse) because I never had a VR6, but now that I've finally got one, I'll be posting more often! I've owned several Volkswagens now, including: A Mk1 Golf GX, a Mk2 Golf GTI, a Mk2 Golf CL, a Mk3 Golf Ryder, and most recently a Mk3 Golf SE, but the one thing I've always wanted, is a VR6. Well I've just purchased a 1996 Golf VR6 Highline 3dr in Mulberry. There's a funny story behind it though. 2 weeks ago, somebody said to me "If you could have anything for christmas, what would it be" so I smiled and replied "A Golf VR6". The same day, I w
  12. Thankyou mate Best get down to Halfords and buy some now
  13. Alright guys, Been on here a while now, posted a few times but never really saw the point as I didn't own a VR. I've just bought myself a 1996 VR6 Highline though, so I'll start being a more active member on the forum and hopefully pay to join the club soon. Basically, I need your help. I'd like to paint the inlet manifold black but I'm unsure what paint I need to use. Some people have said I can use normal paint, and others have said I have to use high temp paint.. I'm confused? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  14. 900 quid? Over the odds? P-reg Mulberry highline, 3dr, tax til February 09, MOT til June 09. It's know what you know, it's who you know The problem for me now is I'm only 18 and therefore can't get insurance for less than 3k lol.
  15. Hiya Aaron, long time no speak! I've just bought a Highline A lot better than the Mk2 GTI I had

  18. Oh and by the way, the grey mk3 Golf with black rims that can be seen in some pics of my mk1, is my dads old mk3 Golf GL, it got written off by an uninsured 4x4 driver which is why he bought the VR http://s199.photobucket.com/albums/aa29/GCL731Y/Dads%20Old%20Mk3/
