  1. I have recently had a new starter fitted - when the conversion was done so i think i can rule that out. It takes say two turns and then fires. It will always start but sounds like a car with a slightly flat battery and then roars into life. Almost as if the battery is a little under powered. Does the vr6 engine require a heavy duty battery?? as its a big lump to get running Tim
  2. Hi, I have a problem with my car. The car takes a little while to start - cranks for a couple of seconds before firing up. The car will always start but i want it to fire straight away as it sounds rough when sat cranking it. The engine is a OBD1 taken from a 1994 mk3 golf - now in a 1990 mk2 golf. My battery is new and i have checked the started and earth cables are clean. I have read it could be the cam shaft position sensor or the crank shaft position sensor. From my research the crank shaft position sensor is located on the radiator side of the block but where is the cam shaft position se
