just to let you all know that i tried the mirrors today and the plugs are they same so they should all work fine. so if anyone wants to fit them then they can just need to use the mk3 baseplate cheers

they are adapting the base plate from the mk3 mirror i was just wanting to know if it was possible to wire them up to work properly

Hi there car is going into bodyshop to get painted shortly and i was wondering if anyone knew how i could get the mirrors from a mk4 fit a mk3. the bodyshop will be able to fit the mirror but is there a way for the wiring so that the mirrors work any ideas would be great thanks J

i have found the problem to be with the passenger side loom it has fixed all the problems and everything is working as it should thanks J

i dont know what it is do you think it could be the door loom as when i press button at drivers side to put passenger side window down it doesnt go down either, except the driver side has never worked tried the switch there also and no difference

currently my passenger side window is not working all the time sometimes the window goes up with the button other times it doesnt. i have tried a different switch and still no result. does anyone have any ideas what to look at thanks J

i have had the car for a while now and have never figured out why they dont work. i have attempted to change the bulbs and it doesnt work. is there anything else that could cause it not to work. let me know if anyone knows thanks J

I have found this part sitting on top of the ecu does anyone know what it is the cables came out of it and i was just wondernig what it was so i can get it put back in. let me know Moderator edit by: PeterVR6

Looking for somewhere that will sell an induction pipe that i can join my bmc onto from throttle body any ideas would be helpful thanks J

what do you mean just the pump working its sounds just bubling dont know what would cause the fans to come on so much plus they seem to only go one speed as well i have not long chained the temp sensor on the cars as this got the fans working. thanks for your help

HI there this is an add on to a previous post as i was having problems with the coolant system and found that the fans were coming on a lot and that there was slight bubbling sometimes when i switched the car off. does anyone have any ideas if it could be something else the engine temp never seems to go over 90 either. thanks again

HI there i was wondernig if anyone could help me regarding bleeding the coolant system. my golf currenty has an air lock in the system after changing a heater matrix and have heard slight bubling at times and noticed that fan is on more than i would expect. can anyone tell me how to do this as i want to get it solved quickly so i dont do any head gaskets in or anything like that. your help is appreciated

I have recently bought a manifold from someone nad the other day i went to fit it it wouldnt fit. i removed the throtle body and put it up beside it and mine was smaller and the overall of the new manifold seemed bigger. I was just wondering if an obd1 manifold would fit obd2 car. any help would be appreciated thanks J

when i was driving home from work tonight realised that when i pulled down my street i went into second gear and the car hesitated to pull away. does anyone have any ideas it was really wet and maybe water could have got into something. unfortunatly the last time i tried to VAG com my car it couldnt be done cause its a conversion does anyone have any ideas thanks J
