heres my new car !lol , could anyone give me some advice on the best shocks and springs to use, i still want a comfortable ride as well as good handling, any advice much appreciated!!

picked up my new vr today all completely standard at the mo!!! getting some 17" alloys soon and was after a bit of advice on lowering i want a good comfortable ride but good handling to go with it, how low?? and whats the best shocks and springs to use??? any help MUCH appreciated!!!!

it has a black cloth interior not to sure of the exact name of the colour its like a burgundy ish red ish i dunno!!

yeah its got full service history mostly by vw, no rust at all, the bodywork is allstraight and original,no oil leaks engine sounded smoothe, imaculate interior,few stone chips on bonnet thats about it!!
