  2. I have just checked the inlet air temperature which is 37.5C. i don't know what this should be please could you advise if this is correct. So basically what i have doe this morning is check all electrical connections on the engine - all are fine. Still only had the 01247 Charcoal filter code (but as mentioned i expect this), once the car had heated up i switched off the engine and tried to restart - i got the same problem it will crank, has fuel and a good spark but does not ignite. once it had cooled dowm i connected VAG-COM and got the following 01249 cylinder 1 injector fault N30 01250 cyli
  3. I have a mk2 golf that has a 1996 obd2 vr6 in it. I think the engine is over fueling, it constently smells rich, sounds like it is running a little rough and when hot, it will not start. It always starts fine when cold, but once hot it will not start, if you let it cool for 5 minutes it will start again. I VAG-COM'd it and it only threw up the charcoal filter open circuitt (but that is due to it been disconnected), that is the only fault code that is shown. I have changed the blue temperature sensor as i thought that it could have been that, but it did not improve the fueling problem. Has any
  4. Hi all, I have recently completed a MK2 VR6 conversion using the wide track, brakes etc from the MK3 golf. I also converted the MK2 to ABS using the MK3 equipment. Since installing it it has not worked correctly, the brakes are awesome but the abs is not kicking in. When i bought the Donor car the ABS light was on so i knew it had a problem, which i thought i would tackle once complete. i have checked all the voltages etc on the ABS brain and they are all fine. I did find that there where no ABS pick up rings on the rear brakes, which i thought was causing the problem. I have now installed new
  5. Hi all, I need a new breather valve (the one that goes on the rear of the inlet manifold on the drivers side of the throttle body). I spoke to VW who want £75 for one which seams a bit expensive. Just wondering if anyone else has had to replace one of these and where they got it from
