bang on adjusted them today and all is back to normal ....phew !!!! thanks alot

My vr6 mk3 (96) initially lost 5th gear no obvious noises when this happened, just drove it one day, parked it up and the next day it wouldn't go into fifth. Spoke to a gearbox specialist and they said ti would be ok to drive until i brought it in so after a trip down the motorway in 4th I lost reverse and 1st is now where reverse was ( Anyone had a similar problem or have an idea as to what might need replacing cheers
