yeah cheers, im new to the vw side of things, i have a series 1 rs turbo also and know practically all thier is to know bout them but not so hot on the vr's at the mo, the sooner i get a box or rebuild this one the better tho!!!

ok well my cousin used to own the car, and the box went on him so he bought a second hand one that needed a rekon and got it fitted b4 recon!! then it lost 2nd gear. and as far as i know now it has none but havent tried it! but just want the cheapest option really!

Hello all im new here and am in need of some advice, i have recently purchased a golf vr6 j reg and the gearbox needs rebuilding. i knew this when i bought it, and i was wanderin if anyone knows the cheapest place to get it rebuilt? thanx in advance jody
