thanks for that, yeah it does bump. battery is bein charged now so guess i'll see when i stick it back in tomoz. fingers crossed!

[starting problems]

having trouble starting my vr all lights on the dash come on as normal but nothing happens when i turn the key?! no noise or clicks nothing! could it be the starter or possibly the battery, someone told me if the battery doesn't have quite enough power it wont turn over the starter? tested the battery and its giving out 11.78v is this to low or will it not make much difference? the battery is only a few months old so shouldn't be that?

problem seems to happen when it is not driven for a few days.

any help would be great

[high pitched noise??!!]

hi i'm gettin a high pitched noise comin from the engine under acceleration, wondered if it could be a split pipe somewhere as its also runnin very rough ie not much power till 2k rpm and very lumpy at times. It's beginin to piss me off! Also it's startin to get a bit rattley, whats the average cost of doin the chains?

i have an avo adjustable suspension kit fitted to my vr and even with the front shocks on the hardest setting, when goin over bumps on the road it bounces around like a big old american car! any ideas if theres a problem or if the kits just crap? when the backs are on thye tightest settings its rock hard.

[knocking from front!]

my vr has developed a knocking noise coming from the front wheels, it seems to be worse when braking and pulling away then delevopes into a sort of rumbling sound when moving. it has been lowered and has 17" wheels fitted but can't see any sign of rubbing, a mechanic says the barings are fine, any ideas?

[headlight problem]

got a small problem with my 92' vr6, when i switch the headlights on, both the dipped and main beam bulbs come on, the same happens when switched to dipped. any ideas??

hi acf8181, it runs fine for a few seconds then splutters and stalls. after a few mins of driving it will idle pretty iratically then sort its self out. any clues?

hi my 1992 vr6 has got a problem when starting from cold, it idles fine for a few seconds then just dies. heard it could be the idle control valve, any ideas?
