one more quick question do i need to buy the motor aswell or could i get away with just removing the broken fan from the motor and just change the fan blade

one of my fans on my vr6 has a big chunk off the blade missing. It is the one with the motor. Can this be replaced without buying a new front panel because vw want over 400 for the part saying a fan cant be bought seperately. Surely i can buy one from somewhere, the fan still spins and the motors working. anybody else had this problem &|
